The business started as a HVAC commissioning company 17 years ago and has set up hundreds of critical ventilation systems predominately for Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors.
We felt the NHS was not being provided with the optimal level of works and began to advise Trusts to remove commissioning and validation from the M&E package, ensuring contractors are held to account, which was a key change.
We feel Approved Air is unique in the medical field. We are ventilation specialists of hospital sites and understand the consequences, for example of opening or closing a damper in critical care unit, many do not.
It is important that Approved Air is truly independent. We do not sell any ventilation parts filters, canopies etc. Approved Air’s focus is 100% on high quality testing, validation and ensuring clients receive the assistance required to be compliant with HTM’s and other necessary standards.
Approved Air’s customer focused approach has led to it mainly working for NHS Trusts across the UK. Approved Air keeps up to date with the requirements of these vital facilities ensuring that they are compliant helping to keep patients and staff safe. We also have a full range of accreditations.
Our approach is to be very proactive, giving advice on solutions and supporting the Trust, ensuring ventilation services are well set-up which can be vital in lowering infection rates.
Approved Air knows the importance of having good Engineers, who can correctly and safely undertake validation work giving NHS staff confidence in the Approved Air on site team.
